Years and years ago, the world came to an explosive end due to scrambling war over a precious - and volatile - resource found. It decimated the surface of the planet, and now humanity struggles to peace itself back together. The end also resulted in this volatile resource being exposed to the air, and so mutants were born alongside the humans.
April is one such mutant, a powerful technopath and electrokinetic - powers that mesh well with her love of all things technological and mechanical. Abandoned when she was young by parents who saw her as an extra mouth to feed, one of the wandering mercenaries of the wastelands of what was once England took her under his wing. Her skill with most firearms is on par with her skill with technology, though she favors rifles above all else. Now she hashes out a living by being a wandering engineer and occasional gun for hire, after her adoptive fathers passing. She's a ball of energy, never staying still as she helps bring communication back between the wasted cities - and while anxiously friendly enough, she prefers to work on her own. Tech has always been easier to understand than people, anyway.

First impressions.
Visual. April stands at a very impressive 5'0", though her choice in boots at least gives her an extra inch or two. The most striking thing about her is her hair, a ginger through and through with dark blue eyes to go with it. When her powers her active, her eyes turn to a bright, basically neon green.
Fashion. Favors practical outfits in neutral colors, if only because it's easier for her to move around. Likes things with a lot of pockets, and tends to carry a hefty backpack with her either way.
Demeanor. All cheerful, anxious energy - she can rarely stay still unless she's working, and is usually fidgeting with something if she's not busy. While nervous around strangers, she does her best to be friendly - with people she's more comfortable with, she's much more at ease and talkative. Can be prone to rambling either way.
Aural. Light and energetic, with a clear English accent. Best comparison is Carina Reeves / Fiora from Xenoblade.
